India is reeling under a severe second wave of Covid-19 and many states are struggling to cope with the rising numbers.
The country recorded 1,761 deaths in the past 24 hours, the highest total since the pandemic began.
India’s capital Delhi is currently in a week-long lockdown after a record spike in cases overwhelmed the city’s healthcare system.
